Martina is a born and bred New Yorker with a soft spot for Sunnyside, Queens. She received her bachelor’s from Middlebury College and holds dual Masters in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College.
Martina partners with clients to explore patterns in their thoughts and behaviors. These patterns are often trauma responses preventing clients from experiencing emotional freedom and personal growth. Martina uses the therapeutic space to help clients create effective physical and emotional change, allowing their nervous systems to regulate and produce feelings of calm and safety. Working with Martina helps clients to clarify their values and accept the reality of their emotional responses without self judgment. She aids clients in creating authentic lives steeped in purpose and emotional freedom. Martina is knowledgeable in treating anxiety disorders. Her work in OCD comes from a deep understanding of how it permeates lives. Martina encourages her clients ability to develop sustainable skills which alleviate OCD symptoms and help them lead calmer, freer lives.
