Specialties:
I specialize in working with individuals navigating the many layers of grief and loss, drawing on deep experience with both death-related and non-death-related forms of grief. This includes supporting those grieving the death of a loved one, facing the anticipatory grief that comes with terminal or degenerative illness, or coping with profound, often overlooked losses—such as the loss of a relationship, health, identity, or long-held life dreams.
Grief often doesn’t follow a predictable path, and many people I work with struggle to make sense of their pain when it doesn’t fit into society’s narrow expectations of how grief should look. My approach is grounded in helping clients understand the unique shape of their loss, explore its emotional impact, and move through it in a way that honors both what was lost and what still remains.
Clinical Style & Theoretical Orientation:
When working with grief, I focus on helping you stay connected to what you’ve lost while also finding ways to move forward at your own pace. In our sessions, we’ll talk about the emotional weight you’re carrying—whether that’s sadness, guilt, anger, confusion, or even numbness—and we’ll give those feelings the time and attention they deserve.
I also help you begin to rebuild around your grief, whether that means figuring out how to function day-to-day, redefining your sense of purpose, or making sense of who you are now in the wake of that loss.
I don’t believe in forcing a timeline or expecting you to “move on.” Instead, I’ll guide you through the natural back-and-forth that grief often brings—some days focusing on the pain of the loss, and others working on practical steps to care for yourself or re-engage with life in a new way.
I bring warmth, steadiness, and deep respect into the room, and I trust that you know more than anyone else what your healing needs to look like. My role is to walk with you through that process, offering tools, reflection, and support as you navigate one of life’s most difficult—and most human—experiences.
