Specialties:
I specialize in working with women who are looking for empowerment in every aspect of their life. My work focuses on helping individuals create strong boundaries, foster healthy relationships with their family and romantic partners, and find ways to live unapologetically authentically. In addition to my work with women, I have extensive experience supporting those in the LGBTQ and kink communities, as well as those who want to better manage their ADHD symptoms. My approach is tailored to those who are prepared to do the heavy lifting, while ensuring the space I provide allows for the exercise of autonomy and individuality, expansive and evolving goal setting.
Clinical Style & Theoretical Orientation:
My approach is flexible, tailoring to the specific needs of the client. Together, we explore our past, find ways our history has created our present, find what’s missing, and move towards a life we want to live. My focus is helping clients realize patterns and cycles, and together, find ways to break these cycles. I also help guide clients through discovering what “authentic” means to them – coming back to what we once loved, or creating a whole new identity. Either way, I provide the space to allow for a safe, untethered exploration of human nature and self discovery.
A huge foundation in the framework is understanding that many people are unable to live their lives in the way they want due to so many different reasons. Taking into account culture, religion, family systems, and socio-economic status, I help clients determine what these things mean to them and what their role is to determine how we can use these barriers as stepping stones.
As for ADHD management, I offer structured support and nonjudgemental understanding to symptoms related to ADLs, attention and hyperactivity, and impulsivity. I help clients explore how ADHD affects their daily living, and instead of vilifying it, we accept and learn to live with these symptoms through accessible routines, positive regard and thought patterns, and psychoeducation beyond the basics.
